Then when the sent ones entered unto the household of Lut. 61 he said, "You are strangers [to me]." 62 They said: "Nay, we have come to you with that (torment) which they have been doubting. 63 We have come to thee with the truth, and assuredly we speak truly. 64 Depart with your family in a part of the night and walk behind them and let none of you turn round. Go to a place where you are commanded' 65 And We decreed for him that commandment, that the last remnant of those should be cut off in the morning. 66 And the people of the city came rejoicing. 67 He said: verily these are my guests, so disgrace me not. 68 And keep your duty to Allah, and shame me not! 69 They said, "Have we not forbidden you from [protecting] people?" 70 [Lot] said: "[Take instead] these daughters of mine, if you must do [whatever you intend to do]!" 71 By thy life, they wandered blindly in their dazzlement, 72 At sunrise a dreadful Shout seized them. 73 And We turned (the cities) upside down, and rained down on them brimstones hard as baked clay. 74 Surely in this are signs for those who examine. 75 surely it is on a way yet remaining; 76 Indeed in that is a sign for the believers. 77 The dwellers of the Thicket were harmdoers. 78 We afflicted them with punishment. Both people had clear (divine) authority among them. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
