Al-Naml 6 of 7
Those who deny the truth say, "When we have turned to dust like our fathers, shall we be brought back to life again? 67 We have certainly been promised this, we and our fathers before; these are naught but stories of the ancients 68 Say: "Go all over the earth and behold what happened in the end to those [who were thus] lost in sin!" 69 Do not be sorry for them, nor be distressed for what they devise. 70 And they say: when will this Promise be fufilled if ye say sooth? 71 Say: Maybe there may have drawn near to you somewhat of that which you seek to hasten on. 72 Surely, your Lord is bountiful to the people; yet most of them do not give thanks. 73 Surely thy Lord knows what their hearts conceal, and what they publish. 74 there is nothing hidden in heaven and on earth, but is recorded in a clear Book. 75 Verily this Qur'an recounteth with truth unto the Children of Isra'il much of that wherein they differ. 76 It is a guidance and a mercy to believers. 77 Verily thy Lord will decide between them by His Decree: and He is Exalted in Might, All-Knowing. 78 So you place your trust in God. Certainly you stand on positive truth. 79 Indeed the dead* do not listen to your call nor do the deaf* listen to your call, when they flee turning back. (The dead and deaf implies the disbelievers.) 80 Nor canst thou lead the blind out of their error. Thou canst make none hear save these who believe in Our signs and who have submitted themselves. 81 ۞ Now, [as for the deaf and blind of heart -] when the word [of truth] stands revealed against them, We shall bring forth unto them out of the earth a creature, which will tell them that mankind had no real faith in Our messages. 82

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
