1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (Then will the command be given): “Muster all the wrong-doers and their spouses and the deities whom they used to serve 22 Other than God," (the angels will be told), "then show them the way to Hell, 23 "But stop them, for they must be asked: 24 "What is the matter with you that you do not help each other?" 25 No indeed; but today they resign themselves in submission 26 They will then turn towards each other (and start wrangling). 27 (The followers will say to their leaders): “You used to come to us from the right hand.” 28 They will say: “Nay, you yourselves were not the ones who would believe. 29 We had no power over you. In fact, you were a people rebellious. 30 “So the Word of our Lord has proved true upon us; we will surely have to taste (the punishment).” 31 So then, [if it be true that] we have caused you to err grievously - behold, we ourselves had been lost in grievous error!" 32 So they shall on that day be sharers in the chastisement one with another. 33 That is how We deal with sinners. 34 Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant 35 And were saying, "Are we to leave our gods for a mad poet?" 36 (They say so although) he brought the Truth and confirmed the veracity of the Messengers. 37 “You surely have to taste the painful punishment.” 38 And you shall not be rewarded except (for) what you did. 39 Except the chosen creatures of God, 40 For them is a Sustenance determined, 41 a variety of delicious fruits; and they shall be honoured 42 In Gardens of Felicity, 43 seated on couches, facing one another. 44 With cups from a flowing stream being passed around, 45 delicious to those who drink it 46 Neither dulling the senses nor intoxicating, 47 And with them are those of modest gaze, with lovely eyes, 48 so delicate as the hidden peel under an egg's shell. 49 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 50 one of them will say, "I had a friend, 51 “Who used to tell me, ‘Do you believe it is true?’ 52 ‘That when we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, that we will either be rewarded or punished?’ 53 He shall say: Will you look on? 54 He looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 And he will say: by Allah, thou hadst wellnigh causedest me to perish. 56 But for the Favor of Allah I should have surely been among those who were arraigned (with you in Hell). 57 What then, shall we not die 58 Save our first death, and are we not to be tormented? 59 Indeed, this is the great attainment. 60 For the like of this let all strive, who wish to strive. 61 Is this not a better reward than the tree of Zaqqum 62 Verily, We have caused it to be a trial for evildoers: 63 It is a tree that grows at the bottom of Hell. 64 The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of Shayatin (devils); 65 Then most surely they shall eat of it and fill (their) bellies with it. 66 Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water. 67 Then surely their return is towards hell. 68 They found their fathers in error, 69 But they make haste (to follow) in their footsteps. 70 Most of the ancient people had also gone astray. 71 though We had sent warners among them. 72 See how those who were warned met their end! 73 except the sincere worshipers of Allah. 74
