In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Allah has caused the works of those who disbelieve and hinder people from the way of Allah to go to waste. 1 But those who believe and do righteous good deeds, and believe in that which is sent down to Muhammad (SAW), for it is the truth from their Lord, He will expiate from them their sins, and will make good their state. 2 That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, and have given them their dowries, taking (them) in marriage, not fornicating nor taking them for paramours in secret; and whoever denies faith, his work indeed is of no account, and in the hereafter he shall be one of the losers. 3 So when you confront the disbelievers, strike at their necks; until when you have slain them in plenty, tie them up firmly; then after that, you may either release them as a favour or take ransom, until the war lays down its ordeal; this is it; and had Allah willed He Himself could have taken revenge from them, but this is to test some of you with others; and Allah will surely never waste the deeds of those who were killed in His way. 4 He will guide them and improve their condition. 5 And will admit them into gardens with which he has acquainted them. 6 Believers, if you help Allah, He will help you and strengthen your feet. 7 The fate of the disbelievers will be to stumble and their deeds will have no virtuous results; 8 That is because they disliked what Allah revealed, so He rendered worthless their deeds. 9 ۞ Have they not travelled the earth and seen how those before them met their end? God destroyed them utterly: a similar fate awaits those who deny the truth. 10 That is because Allah is the protector of those who have believed and because the disbelievers have no protector. 11
