And when your Lord called to Moses, saying: 'Go to the harmdoing nation, 10 The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear and take heed?" 11 He said, 'My Lord, I fear they will cry me lies, 12 and my chest will become constricted and my tongue will not be loosed (in my speech), therefore, send to Aaron. 13 “And they have an accusation against me, so I fear that they may kill me.” 14 (It was) said: "By no means. Go with My signs, both of you. I am verily with you and I hear. 15 They came to the Pharaoh and said, "We are the Messengers of the Lord of the Universe. 16 Send forth with us the Children of Israel' 17 Pharaoh said to Moses, "Did we not bring you up among us as a child? And you spent several years of your life with us. 18 Yet you were ungrateful and have done the deed you did' 19 Replied [Moses]: "I committed it while I was still going astray; 20 Then I fled for fear of you. Then my Lord bestowed wisdom and authority on me and made me one of the Messengers. 21 Is this then the blessing with which you reproach me, that you have the Children of Israel for worshipers' 22 Pharaoh said: And what is the Lord of the Worlds? 23 Moses answered: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, if you were only to believe." 24 (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Did ye not listen (to what he says)?" 25 Moses said: "(He is) Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers of yore." 26 (The Pharaoh) said (to his nobles): "Your apostle who has been sent to you, is certainly mad." 27 He said: Lord of the east and the west and whatsoever is in-between, if ye understand. 28 Said he, 'If thou takest a god other than me, I shall surely make thee one of the imprisoned.' 29 [Moses] said, "Even if I brought you proof manifest?" 30 He (Pharaoh) replied: 'Show us your sign, if you are of the truthful' 31 So he cast his staff, and behold, it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it appeared white to the onlookers. 33
