The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by (the angels) who stand in ranks, 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, 3 Verily, verily, your Allah is one!- 4 the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, and the Sustainer of all the points of sunrise! 5 Verily We! We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment: the stars. 6 (For beauty) and for guard against all obstinate rebellious evil spirits, 7 These satans cannot listen to what transpires in the High Council for they are pelted away from every side 8 driven away, and will suffer eternal punishment. 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 So, ask those who deny the truth if it was harder to create them than all the other things We have created? We created them from sticky clay. 11 (Muhammad), you will be surprised that they still mock (God's revelations). 12 And when they are admonished, they receive not admonition. 13 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. 14 and say: 'This is nothing but clear sorcery' 15 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then certainly be raised, 16 And also our forefathers? 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 It shall be but one shout, lo! they shall be staring. 19 And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital. 20 This is the Day of Separation, which ye used to deny. 21
