Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 And the producers of sparks [when] striking 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 thereby raising clouds of dust, 4 forcing their way into the midst of the enemy, 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 and surely he is a witness against that! 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 And there shall be brought to light that which is in the breasts? 10 Surely on that Day will their Lord be fully informed about them. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
