Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day, 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 Illustrious scribes 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
