It was We Who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein. 16 Behold! when the two receivers receive - one on the right hand and one on the left a sitter. 17 He utters not a word, but there is a vigilant watcher at hand. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth: this is that which thou hast been shunning. 19 And the Horn will be blown. That is the Day of [carrying out] the threat. 20 Each soul shall come with a driver, and a witness. 21 [and will be told:] "Indeed, unmindful hast thou been of this [Day of Judgment]; but now We have lifted from thee thy veil, and sharp is thy sight today!" 22 His companion will say: "Here is (the record) I have ready with me." 23 It will be said to the angels, “Both of you fling every excessive ungrateful, stubborn person into hell.” 24 hinderer of good, transgressor, causing others to doubt, 25 who set up with God another god; therefore, you twain, cast him into the terrible chastisement.' 26 ۞ His companion (Satan devil)] will say: "Our Lord! I did not push him to transgress, (in disbelief, oppression, and evil deeds) but he was himself in error far astray." 27 Allah will say: wrangle not in My presence, and I had already proferred unto you the threat. 28 "The Word changes not before Me, and I do not the least injustice to My Servants." 29
