And a sign for them is the dead earth. We have brought it to life and brought forth from it grain, and from it they eat. 33 And We placed therein gardens of palm trees and grapevines and caused to burst forth therefrom some springs - 34 so that they may eat its fruit, though it was not their hands that made this. Will they not then be grateful? 35 Glory be to Him, who created all the pairs of what the earth produces, and of themselves, and of what they know not. 36 And a sign for them is the night. We remove from it [the light of] day, so they are [left] in darkness. 37 The sun runs to its fixed resting place; that is the decree of the Almighty, the Knower. 38 We have ordained phases for the moon until finally it becomes like an old date-stalk. 39 how the sun is not supposed to catch-up with the moon, nor is the night to precede the day. All of them are to float in a certain orbit; 40 Another sign for them is that We carried their offspring in the laden Ark. 41 And We have created for them similar ships, in which they now ride. 42 And if We list, We shall drown them, and there will be no shout for them, nor will they be saved. 43 It is only by Our mercy that they are granted provision for a time. 44 When it is said to them: 'Have fear of that which is before you and behind you in order that you find mercy' 45 yet never any sign of the signs of their Lord comes to them, but they are turning away from it. 46 and when they are told, "Give to others out of what God has provided for you," those who are bent on denying the truth say to the believers, "Why should we feed those whom God could feed if He wanted? You are clearly in error!" 47 And they say: When will this promise be fulfilled, if ye are truthful? 48 They will not have to wait long. When the Day of Judgment comes, it will only take a single blast of sound to strike them while they are quarrelling with one another. 49 Then they will not be able to make a will or return to their families. 50
