Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
