Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Inevitable! (Day of Judgment). 1 What is the Reality? 2 And what will teach thee what is the Indubitable? 3 Thamud and 'Aad denied the Striking Calamity. 4 As for Thamood, they were destroyed by the Screamer; 5 and the Ad were destroyed by a furiously raging wind-storm 6 Which He sent to assail them for seven nights and eight days running. You should have seen the people prostrate like the decayed trunks of date-palm trees. 7 Do you then see of them one remaining? 8 And Pharaoh and those before him, and the communities that were destroyed, brought error, 9 They disobeyed the Messenger of their Lord and He seized them with torment which increased with time. 10 [And] behold: when the waters [of Noah's flood] burst beyond all limits, it was We who caused you to be borne [to safety] in that floating ark, 11 That We might make it for you a reminder and [that] a conscious ear would be conscious of it. 12 When a single blast is blown on the trumpet, 13 and the earth and the mountains are lifted up and crushed with a single blow, 14 Then, on that day will the Event befall. 15 And the heaven will split asunder – so on that day it will be unstable. 16 On its fringes will be angels, eight of them, bearing their Lord's throne aloft. 17 On that day you shall be exposed, not one secret of yours concealed. 18 Now as for him whose record shall be placed in his right hand, he will exclaim: "Come you all!" Read this my record! 19 “I was certain that I will confront my account.” 20 So he shall be in a life, well-pleasing. 21 In a lofty Paradise, 22 Clusters whereof shall be near at hand. 23 We shall say to him, "Eat and drink joyfully as a reward for the good deeds you did in days gone by." 24 But as for he who is given his record in his left hand, he will say, "Oh, I wish I had not been given my record 25 And not known my account! 26 O would that it had made an end (of me): 27 My wealth has not availed me, 28 My authority is gone away from me. 29 'Take him, and fetter him, 30 then cast him in the Fire, 31 then in a chain of seventy cubits' length insert him! 32 “Indeed he refused to accept faith in Allah, the Greatest.” 33 and did not feel any urge to feed the needy: 34 Therefor hath he no lover here this day, 35 nor any food except foul pus 36 which only the sinners eat". 37
