He said: my Lord! expand for me my breast. 25 And ease for me my affair. 26 "And make loose the knot (the defect) from my tongue, (i.e. remove the incorrectness from my speech) [That occurred as a result of a brand of fire which Musa (Moses) put in his mouth when he was an infant]. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 16, Page 159]. 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 And give me as assistant from my family 29 Harun, my brother. 30 By him confirm my strength 31 and let him share my task, 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 “And profusely remember You.” 34 You are surely seeing us' 35 He said, “O Moosa, you have been granted your prayer.” 36 Indeed, We showed Our favour to you before also, 37 When we inspired in thy mother that which is inspired, 38 "'Throw (the child) into the chest, and throw (the chest) into the river: the river will cast him up on the bank, and he will be taken up by one who is an enemy to Me and an enemy to him': But I cast (the garment of) love over thee from Me: and (this) in order that thou mayest be reared under Mine eye. 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 "And I have Istana'tuka, for Myself. 41 Go with My signs, you and your brother, and do not be lax in remembering Me. 42 "Go, both of you, to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience and behaved as an arrogant and as a tyrant). 43 But speak gently to him; perhaps he may yet take heed or even feel afraid." 44 'O our Lord,' said Moses and Aaron, 'truly we fear he may exceed against us, or wax insolent.' 45 [Allah] said, "Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see. 46 “Therefore go to him and say, ‘We are the sent ones of your Lord, therefore let the Descendants of Israel go with us, and do not trouble them; we have indeed brought to you a sign from your Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance.’ 47 it has been revealed to us that punishment shall overtake him who rejects it and turns away!'" 48 (When this message was delivered), (Pharaoh) said: "Who, then, O Moses, is the Lord of you two?" 49 Moses replied, "Our Lord is He who has given everything its form, then guided it." 50 (The Pharaoh) said: "And what about the former generations?" 51 Moses said: "Its knowledge is with my Lord, recorded in the Book. My Lord does not err, nor does He forget." 52 [It is He] who has made for you the earth as a bed [spread out] and inserted therein for you roadways and sent down from the sky, rain and produced thereby categories of various plants. 53 so eat and graze your cattle. In this there are signs for men of understanding. 54
