And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 It has been revealed through the trustworthy Spirit 193 to your heart, so that you will warn (the people of the dangers of disobeying God). 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 Truly it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel? 197 But [even] had We bestowed it from on high upon any of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had read it unto them, even then they would not have been believers therein. 199 Thus have We caused this (Admonition) to penetrate the hearts of the culprits (like a hot rod). 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 And it shall come to them all of a sudden, while they shall not perceive; 202 Then they will say: Are we to be reprieved? 203 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 204 Think! If We let them enjoy life for some years, 205 And then there cometh unto them that which they had been promised. 206 what will it then avail them, the enjoyment of days they were given? 207 And We destroyed not a city but it had its warners. 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 And the Shaitans have not come down with it. 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So call thou not upon another god with God, lest thou shouldst be one of those that are chastised. 213 And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred. 214 and be meek to the believers who follow you. 215 If they do not obey you, tell them: "I am not responsible for what you do." 216 And rely on the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 Who sees you (O Muhammad SAW) when you stand up (alone at night for Tahajjud prayers). 218 And your turning over and over among those who prostrate themselves before Allah. 219 Lo! He, only He, is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I inform you (of him) upon whom the Shaitans descend? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 They give ear, but most of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Did you not see that they keep wandering in every valley? 225 And how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are oppressed; and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back. 227
