The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 has taught the Koran. 2 Has created Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) as the soul of mankind. 3 and has taught him intelligible speech. 4 The sun and moon rotate in a predestined orbit. 5 And the herbs (or stars) and the trees both prostrate. 6 And Allah has raised the sky; and He has set the balance. 7 So that none may err against the scales, 8 And observe correct measure, weigh with justice, and not cheat the balance. 9 It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures: 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 Husked grain and scented herb. 12 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 13 He has created man, from dry ringing clay, like the potter"s, 14 And created jinn from the flame of fire. 15 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 16 Lord of the Two Easts, Lord of the Two Wests, 17 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 18 He let forth the two seas that meet together, 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 21 Pearls and coral-stone come forth from them. 22 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 23 His are the ships, towering on the sea like mountains. 24 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 25

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
