Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Blessed be He in Whose hands is Dominion; and He over all things hath Power;- 1 Who hath created death and life that He might prove you, as to which of you is excellent in work. And He is the Mighty, the Forgiver. 2 The One Who created the seven heavens atop each other; do you see any discrepancy in the creation of the Most Gracious? Therefore lift your gaze – do you see any cracks? 3 Look twice (and keep on looking), your eyes will only become dull and tired. 4 We have adorned the lowest sky with lamps, and made them missiles against the devils, for whom We have prepared a torment of most intense fire. 5 And for those who disbelieve in their Lord is the punishment of hell, and evil is the resort. 6 When they are cast into it, they will hear it roar and raging 7 Almost bursting for fury. Whenever a group is cast into it, its keeper shall ask them: Did there not come to you a warner? 8 They say: Yea, verily, a warner came unto us; but we denied and said: Allah hath naught revealed; ye are in naught but a great error. 9 And they will then say: 'If only we had listened and understood we should not now be among the inhabitants of the Blaze' 10 So they confess their sins. Curse the inhabitants of the Blaze! 11 Indeed, those who fear their Lord unseen will have forgiveness and great reward. 12 And whether you keep your talk secret or disclose it, verily, He is the All-Knower of what is in the breasts (of men). 13 Should He not know,- He that created? and He is the One that understands the finest mysteries (and) is well-acquainted (with them). 14
