In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
READ IN THE name of your Lord who created, 1 created Man of a blood-clot. 2 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,- 3 who taught by the pen, 4 Taught man what he did not know. 5 Indeed, surely the human is very insolent 6 for he thinks himself self-sufficient. 7 Surely to your Lord is the return. 8 Seest thou one who forbids- 9 a servant of Ours from prayer? 10 Hast thou seen if he relieth on the guidance (of Allah) 11 or is concerned with God-consciousness? 12 Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away? 13 Does he not know that God sees? 14 By no means! If he desist not We shall seize and deal him by the forelock 15 The lying, sinful forelock - 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 We shall summon the guards of Hell. 18 Nay, pay thou no heed to him, but prostrate thyself [before God] and draw close [unto Him]! ۩ 19
