۞ HE FROWNED and turned away 1 that the blind man came to him. 2 But what could tell you that per chance he might become pure (from sins)? 3 Or be admonished, and the admonition profit him? 4 As for him who thinketh himself independent, 5 To him do you address yourself. 6 What does it matter to you if he will not become pure (from disbelief, you are only a Messenger, your duty is to convey the Message of Allah). 7 But as to him who came to you running. 8 and fears (Allah), 9 you pay him no heed. 10 These verses are a reminder 11 So whosoever willeth - let him be admonished therewlth. 12 It is set down on honoured pages, 13 exalted, purified, 14 (Written) by the hands of scribes- 15 Noble and pious. 16 Woe to man! How ungrateful he is! 17 Of what thing did He create him? 18 From Nutfah (male and female semen drops) He created him, and then set him in due proportion; 19 then eased his path for him, 20 Then He causes his death and provides a grave for him. 21 and then, whenever He wishes, He will raise him back to life. 22 By no means hath he fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him. 23 Let the human reflect on the food he eats, 24 We let the rain pour down in torrents 25 And We split the earth in fragments, 26 then caused the grain to grow out of it, 27 And grapes and green fodder 28 and olives, and palms, 29 And enclosed gardens luxuriant. 30 and fruits and fodder 31 for you and for your herds to delight in. 32 But when the great calamity comes 33 on that Day each person will flee from his brother, 34 his mother and his father, 35 his wife and his sons: 36 every man that day shall have business to suffice him. 37 (Many) faces on that day shall be bright, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 And some faces will on that Day with dust be covered, 40 Veiled in darkness, 41 It is they, the disbelievers, the sinners. 42
