By no means! By the moon, 32 By the night when it withdraweth. 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 As a warning to humanity - 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 Except those of the right hand 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 “What took you into the hell?” 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 Till death overtook us. 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 running away from a lion? 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
