۞ It is Allah Who has subjected the sea for you so that ships may sail upon it by His command, and for you to seek His munificence, and so that you may give thanks. 12 He has subjected to you whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth; all is from Him. Surely, there are signs in this for people who contemplate. 13 Tell the believers to ignore those who do not believe in the coming of the days of God. He will requite people for what they have done. 14 Whoever does what is just and right, does so for his own good; and whoever does evil, does so to his own hurt; and in the end unto your Sustainer you all will be brought back. 15 We gave Scriptures, wisdom and prophethood to the Children of Israel, and provided them with good things and favoured them over all other people. 16 And We granted them Clear Signs in affairs (of Religion): it was only after knowledge had been granted to them that they fell into schisms, through insolent envy among themselves. Verily thy Lord will judge between them on the Day of Judgment as to those matters in which they set up differences. 17 And now, We have set you on the jurisprudence of the Command, therefore follow it and do not follow the desires of those who do not know. 18 Indeed, they will not help you at all against Allah. The harmdoers are guides of each other; but Allah is the Guide of the cautious. 19 This Book is an enlightenment unto mankind and a guidance, and a mercy unto a People who are convinced. 20 Nay! do those who have wrought evil deeds think that We will make them like those who believe and do good-- that their life and their death shall be equal? Evil it is that they judge. 21
