Verily this is a Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds: 192 brought down by the Faithful Spirit 193 Upon your heart, for you to convey warning. 194 In a clear Arabic language. 195 And indeed it is mentioned in the earlier Books. 196 Is it not a token for them that the doctors of the Children of Israel know it? 197 If We had sent it down on a barbarian 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 who will not believe in it, until they see the painful chastisement 201 So it will come upon them suddenly, whilst they will be unaware. 202 they say: "Can we be granted some respite?" 203 Do they then ask for Our Penalty to be hastened on? 204 Just think: If We let them enjoy (the good things of life) for a few years more, 205 and then the promised punishment fell upon them, 206 So of what benefit will be the comforts that they were using? 207 And We did not destroy any town but it had (its) warners, 208 as a reminder from Us: We are never unjust. 209 No evil ones have brought down this (Revelation): 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 Lo! verily they are banished from the hearing. 212 (Muhammad), do not worship anything besides God lest you suffer the punishment. 213 Warn your nearest kinsmen, 214 and be kind to your believing followers. 215 then, if they disobey thee, say, 'I am quit of that you do.' 216 and place thy trust in the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace, 217 Who observes you when you rise (to pray) 218 And your movement among those who prostrate. 219 Lo! He, only He, is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Should I tell you to whom the satans come? 221 They descend upon every lying, sinful one, 222 They listen, but most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, the erring follow them, 224 Art thou not aware that they roam confusedly through all the valleys [of words and thoughts,] 225 And that they say what they do not do? - 226 The righteously striving believers among them who remember God very often and use their talent to seek help after they have been wronged are the exceptional. The unjust will soon know how terrible their end will be. 227
