The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO witness the sky (bespangled) with the signs of the Zodiac, 1 and by the promised Day, 2 And the witness and the witnessed, 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 They sat by it 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Surely (as for) those who persecute the believing men and the believing women, then do not repent, they shall have the chastisement of hell, and they shall have the chastisement of burning. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 But those who disbelieve are engaged in denial. 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
