Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

YOU ARE OBSESSED by greed for more and more 1 Until ye come to the graves. 2 You shall know. 3 And once again: Nay, in time you will come to understand! 4 Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge, 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 then you shall be questioned that day concerning true bliss. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
