And a sign unto them is the dead land. We quicken it and thereout We bring forth grain, so that thereof they eat. 33 and We made therein gardens of palms and vines, and therein We caused fountains to gush forth, 34 that they might eat of its fruits. It was not their hands that made them. Will they not, then, give thanks? 35 Exaltations to Him who created pairs of all the things the earth produces and of themselves, and that of which they have no knowledge. 36 Of the signs for them is how We separated the day from the night and thus they remained in darkness; 37 The sun runs to its fixed resting place; that is the decree of the Almighty, the Knower. 38 And the moon, We have determined it in phases till it returns like an old palmbranch. 39 It is not permitted to the Sun to catch up the Moon, nor can the Night outstrip the Day: Each (just) swims along in (its own) orbit (according to Law). 40 And a Sign for them is that We bore their race (through the Flood) in the loaded Ark; 41 And We have created for them of the like thereunto whereon they ride. 42 And if We list, We shall drown them, and there will be no shout for them, nor will they be saved. 43 Unless by mercy from Us and as comfort for a while. 44 And when it is said to them: "Beware of that which is before you (worldly torments), and that which is behind you (torments in the Hereafter), in order that you may receive Mercy (i.e. if you believe in Allah's Religion Islamic Monotheism, and avoid polytheism, and obey Allah with righteous deeds). 45 And never came an Ayah from among the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord to them, but they did turn away from it. 46 When they are told to spend for the cause of God out of what He has provided for them for their sustenance, the disbelievers say to the believers, "Should we feed those whom God has decided to feed? You are in plain error." 47 The unbelievers say, "When will the Day of Judgment come if what you say is at all true?" 48 They await but one Shout, which will surprise them while they are disputing. 49 Then they will be unable to make a will, nor shall they return to their kinsmen. 50
