The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 For your Lord will certainly give you, and you will be content. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 Therefor the orphan oppress not, 9 And as to the beggar, chide thou him not. 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
