Say: 'Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 "My Lord! Then (save me from Your Punishment), and put me not amongst the people who are the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing)." 94 Assuredly, We are able to show thee that We promise them. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best Aware of that which they allege. 96 And say: My Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from suggestions of the evil ones, 97 I even seek Your refuge, my Lord, lest they should approach me." 98 [AS FOR THOSE who will not believe in the life to come, they go on lying to themselves] until, when death approaches any of them, he prays: "O my Sustainer! Let me return, let me return [to life,] 99 "In order that I may work righteousness in the things I neglected." - "By no means! It is but a word he says."- Before them is a Partition till the Day they are raised up. 100 So when the trumpet is blown, there shall be no ties of relationship between them on that day, nor shall they ask of each other. 101 Only those whose scales are heavier in the balance will find happiness. 102 But those whose scales weigh light will have ruined their souls; in Hell will they abide. 103 The Fire will scorch their faces and they will abide therein with their faces distorted. 104 Were not My messages recited to you and did you not reject them? 105 They will say: our Lord! our wretchedness overcame us, and we have been a people erring. 106 "Our Lord! bring us out of this: if ever we return (to Evil), then shall we be wrong-doers indeed!" 107 He will say: "Be ye driven into it (with ignominy)! And speak ye not to Me! 108 Verily there was a party of My bondmen who said: our Lord! we have believed, wherefore forgive us and have mercy upon us, and Thou art the Best of the merciful ones! 109 But you took them for laughingstock, mocking at them, until they caused you to forget My remembrance. 110 On this day I have given them their reward for their exercising patience and it is they who have triumphed." 111 He will say: How many years did you tarry in the earth? 112 They will say: We tarried by a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep count! 113 He will say: You did tarry but a little-- had you but known (it): 114 Did you think that We had created you only for play, and that you would never be returned to Us' 115 Therefore exalted be Allah, the King, the Reality: there is no god but He, the Lord of the Throne of Honour! 116 And whoever invokes besides Allah another deity for which he has no proof - then his account is only with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed. 117 (Muhammad), say, "Lord, forgive me and grant me mercy; You are the best of the Merciful Ones. 118
