The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 And strike sparks of fire, 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 and penetrate deep into a host. 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 And verily to that he is witness. 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 their Lord will examine his deeds? 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
