And recall what time thy Lord called unto Musa, saying: go thou unto the wrong-doing people. 10 The people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh). Will they not fear Allah and become righteous?" 11 He said: my Lord! verily I fear they shall belie me. 12 And I shall be embarrassed, and my tongue will not speak plainly, therefor send for Aaron (to help me). 13 "And they have a charge of crime against me, and I fear they will kill me." 14 God said, "Indeed not; go both of you with Our signs, We shall be with you, listening [to your call]. 15 So go you to Pharaoh, and say, "Verily, I am the Messenger of the Lord of all Being; 16 so send forth with us the Children of Israel." 17 The Pharaoh said, "Did we not bring you up in our home as an infant and did you not live with us for many years 18 And yet thou didst commit that [heinous] deed of thine, and [hast thus shown that] thou art one of the ingrate!" 19 Moses replied: "I committed that act erringly. 20 Then I fled for fear of you. Then my Lord bestowed wisdom and authority on me and made me one of the Messengers. 21 That is a blessing thou reproachest me with, having enslaved the Children of Israel.' 22 Pharaoh said, "What is this: Lord of the Universe?" 23 He said, 'The Lord of the heavens and earth, and what between them is, if you have faith.' 24 Pharaoh said to those around him, "Did you hear?" 25 Said Moosa, “Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers preceding you.” 26 (Pharaoh) said: 'Surely, the Messenger who has been sent to you is mad!' 27 He said, 'The Lord of the East and West, and what between them is, if you have understanding,' 28 [Pharaoh] said, "If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned." 29 and Moses asked, "Even if I show you a clear sign?" 30 (The Pharaoh) said: "Then bring it, if you speak the truth." 31 So he cast down his rod, and lo! it was an obvious serpent, 32 And he drew out his hand, and it appeared [shining] white to the beholders. 33
