The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the angels who violently tear-out the souls of the disbelievers from their bodies, 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 Then those who are foremost going ahead, 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 Upon the day when the first blast shivers 6 to be followed by further [convulsions]! 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 while eyes will be downcast. 9 (Now) they are saying: Shall we really be restored to our first state 10 Even after we are crumbled bones? 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned his back, striving. 22 and gathered his people together 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. 25 Surely, in this there is a lesson for he that fears! 26
