Hizb 46
< random >
And, verily, Yunus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers. 139 He fled to the overloaded ship. 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 Then he was swallowed by a large fish as he was worthy of blame. 142 Had he not been one of those who glorify Allah, 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, 145 and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. 146 Then We sent him unto a hundred thousand, or more, 147 And they believed, so We gave them provision till a time. 148 Now ask thou them: are there for thy Lord daughters and for them sons? 149 Or did We make the angels females, and they witnessed it? 150 Then is it of their lying that they say: 151 That “Allah has offspring”; and indeed, surely, they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 Will ye not then reflect? 155 Or have ye a clear warrant? 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 Exaltations to Allah above what they describe, 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 For, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship- 161 Ye cannot excite (anyone) against Him. 162 Save him who will go to hell. 163 None of us is there, but has a known station; 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 and, verily, we too extol His limitless glory!" 166 AND, INDEED, they [who deny the truth] have always been wont to say, 167 If we had the account of earlier people with us, 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 Yet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know. 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 That they verily would be helped, 172 And most surely Our host alone shall be the victorious ones. 173 So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them for a while, 174 And wait; they will come to know soon. 175 Our torment seek they to hasten on! 176 But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. 177 Stay away from them for a while 178 And watch and they shall see (the torment)! 179 Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! 180 So peace be on the messengers, 181 And all praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds! 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
