And assuredly We gave grace unto Musa and Harun. 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 Then they belied him, so verily they are to be brought up. 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
