The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 not a flippant jest. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 and I am devising guile. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
