The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 How will you comprehend what Hutama is? 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 in outstretched columns. 9
