The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 Those who humbly cry in their prayers. 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 who observe Zakah; 4 those who safeguard their chastity 5 except with their spouses and slave-girls. The practice of carnal relations is lawful with them. 6 So whoever desires more than these two – they are crossing the limits. 7 those who are faithful to their trusts and promises; 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. 12 then We made him, a drop, in a secure receptacle (the womb). 13 then We developed that drop into a clinging form, and We developed that form into a lump of flesh, and We developed that lump into bones, and clothed the bones with flesh. Then We brought him into being as a new creation, glory be to God, the best of creators, 14 Then after that you will most surely die. 15 Again, on the Day of Judgment, will ye be raised up. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 And We sent down out of heaven water in measure and lodged it in the earth; and We are able to take it away. 18 Then through water We caused gardens of date-palms and vines to grow for you wherein you have an abundance of delicious fruits and from them you derive your livelihood. 19 And a tree that springeth forth from Mount Sinai that groweth oil and relish for the eaters. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 And on them and on the ships you are borne. 22
