Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 And when the graves are turned upside down (and they bring out their contents) 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 noble, writers 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
