The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 The one who will enter the biggest fire. 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
