The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the morning brightness 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you (Prophet Muhammad), nor does He hate you. 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Therefore, the orphan shalt thou never wrong, 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
