Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Gross rivalry diverts you, 1 Until you visit the graves (i.e. till you die). 2 No indeed; but soon you shall know. 3 You shall cetainly know (about the consequences of your deeds). 4 Indeed, did you know with certain knowledge 5 that you shall surely see Hell? 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!). 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
