The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER those [stars] that rise only to set, 1 and those that blow gently, 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 By the angels hastening, 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 What must happen afterwards shall follow it. 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They say: “Shall we indeed be restored to life, 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 When lo! they shall be wakeful. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned his back, striving. 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 In this there is a lesson for those who have fear of God. 26
