The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Terror descends 1 Then none will be able to deny its occurrence. 2 Abasing (some), exalting (others); 3 When the earth is shaken with a shaking [severe,] 4 and the mountains will crumble 5 So that they will become floating dust particles. 6 You will become three categories: 7 So those on the right – how (fortunate) are those on the right! 8 And there shall be such as will have lost themselves in evil: oh, how [unhappy] will be they who have lost themselves in evil! 9 But the foremost shall be [they who in life were] the foremost [in faith and good works]: 10 those are they brought near (to their Lord) 11 In the gardens of bliss. 12 A multitude of those of old 13 and a few from later times. 14 On couches in wrought with gold. 15 reclining on them, arrayed face to face; 16 Round about them shall go youths never altering in age, 17 With bowls and ewers and a cup from a pure spring 18 No after-ache will they receive therefrom, nor will they suffer intoxication: 19 And fruit; that they may choose. 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire. 21 And [for them are] fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes, 22 Like unto Pearls well-guarded. 23 shall be their recompense for their deeds. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk nor any sinful speech. 25 Nought but the saying: peace! peace! 26 And the fellows on the right hand; how be happy shall the fellows on the right hand be! 27 Among thornless lote-trees 28 Bananatrees, piled 29 In shade long-extended, 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 And plenty of fruits. 32 Neither limited [to season] nor forbidden, 33 And [upon] beds raised high. 34 for, behold, We shall have brought them into being in a life renewed, 35 And made them virgins, 36 loving companions, matching in age, 37 For the sake of the companions of the right hand. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
