By the moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They will reply: 'We were not among those who prayed 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 until death approached us". 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
