And Nuh! recall what time he cried aforetime; so we answered him and delivered him and his household from a calamity mighty. 76 and We helped him against the people who cried lies to Our signs; surely they were an evil people, so We drowned them all together. 77 And remember Dawud and Sulaiman, when they were deciding the dispute of a field, when some people’s sheep had strayed into it at night; and We were Present at the time of their deciding. 78 So We gave the understanding thereof unto Sulaiman; and unto each We vouchsafed judgment and knowledge. And We so subjected the mountains that they shall hallow us along with Daud, and also the birds; and We were the doers. 79 And We taught him the fashioning of garments for you, to fortify you against your violence; then are you thankful? 80 And unto Solomon [We made subservient] the stormy wind, so that it sped at his behest towards the land which We had blessed: for it is We who have knowledge of everything. 81 and of the Satans some dived for him and did other work besides; and We were watching over them. 82 ۞ And (remember) Ayub (Job), when he cried to his Lord: "Verily, distress has seized me, and You are the Most Merciful of all those who show mercy." 83 "We answered his prayer, relieved him from his hardships, brought his family (back to him) and gave him twice as much property as that (which was destroyed). It was a mercy from Us and a reminder for the worshippers. 84 AND [remember] Ishmael and Idris and every one who [like them] has pledged himself [unto God]: they all were among those who are patient in adversity, 85 and so We admitted them unto Our grace: behold, they were among the righteous! 86 And We bestowed Our favour upon Dhu al-Nun. Recall, when he went forth enraged, thinking We have no power to take him to task. Eventually he cried out in the darkness:" There is no god but You. Glory be to You! I have done wrong." 87 Then we heard his prayer and saved him from the anguish. Thus we save believers. 88 Zachariah prayed, "Lord, do not leave me alone without offspring, although you are the best heir". 89 So We answered him, and We bestowed on him Yahya and We made sound for him his spouse. Verily they were wont to vie with one another in good deeds and to call upon us with longing and dread, and they were ever before us meek. 90 (Remember) her who preserved her chastity, into whom We breathed a new life from Us, and made her and her son a token for mankind. 91 This community of yours is one community and I am your Lord, so worship Me. 92 And [yet] they divided their affair among themselves, [but] all to Us will return. 93
