Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 Does he think that his wealth will prolong his stay on earth forever? 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 in outstretched columns. 9

Almighty Allah's Truth.
