Blessed be He Who hath placed in the heaven mansions of the stars, and hath placed therein a great lamp and a moon giving light! 61 And it is He Who created the alternation of the night and day for one who wishes to remember or intends to give thanks. 62 And the slaves of the Most Beneficent (Allah) are those who walk on the earth in humility and sedateness, and when the foolish address them (with bad words) they reply back with mild words of gentleness. 63 Those who spend the night in adoration of their Lord prostrate and standing; 64 And those who say, "Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Hell. Indeed, its punishment is ever adhering; 65 Lo! it is wretched as abode and station; 66 who when they spend are neither wasteful nor miserly, between that is a just stand, 67 who do not invoke any god but Allah nor kill a soul, which Allah has forbidden, unjustly, nor commit adultery. -He who does this shall be punished for his sin, 68 The torment will be doubled to him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in disgrace; 69 save him who repents, and believes, and does righteous work -- those, God will change their evil deeds into good deeds, for God is ever All-forgiving, All-compassionate; 70 And he who repents and does righteousness does indeed turn to Allah with [accepted] repentance. 71 And those who do not bear false witness, and when they pass by frivolity, they pass by with dignity; 72 and who when they are reminded of the verses of their Lord, they do not fall down deaf and blind. 73 who say, 'Our Lord, give us refreshment of our wives and seed, and make us a model to the godfearing.' 74 They will be rewarded the highest position in heaven, the recompense of their patience, and they will be welcomed with honour and greetings of peace. 75 They will live therein forever, the best abode and place of rest. 76 SAY [unto those who believe]: "No weight or value would my Sustainer attach to you were it not for your faith [in Him]!" And say unto those who deny [the truth:] "You have indeed given the lie [to God's message,] and in time this [sin] will cleave unto you!" 77
