The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 And who brings out the pasture 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) shall not forget (it), 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 And the most wicked will stay away from it. 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
