Aaron had said to them before: 'My nation, you have been tempted by it. Your Lord is the Merciful. Follow me and obey my order' 90 They replied: 'We will not stop; we will cling to it until Moses returns to us.' 91 (Musa) said: O Haroun! what prevented you, when you saw them going astray, 92 “That you did not come after me? So did you disobey my order?” 93 He said: O son of my mother! Clutch not my beard nor my head! I feared lest thou shouldst say: Thou hast caused division among the Children of Israel, and hast not waited for my word. 94 Said [Moses]: "What, then, didst thou have in view, O Samaritan?" 95 He answered: "I have gained insight into something which they were unable to see: and so I took hold of a handful of the Apostle's teachings and cast it away: for thus has my mind prompted me [to act]." 96 'Begone! Your lot in this life is to cry: "untouchable!' said he (Moses). 'An appointment awaits you that you cannot fail to keep. Look at your god which you clung to indeed we will burn it and scatter its ashes upon the sea' 97 Your god is only Allah, except for whom there is no deity. He has encompassed all things in knowledge." 98 Thus do We relate to thee some stories of what happened before: for We have sent thee a Message from Our own Presence. 99 All who shall turn away from it will, verily, bear a [heavy] burden on the Day of Resurrection: 100 They will abide in that (state in the Fire of Hell), and evil indeed will it be that load for them on the Day of Resurrection; 101 On the day when the trumpet will be sounded We will raise the criminals from their graves and their eyes will be turned blue and blind. 102 whispering unto one another, "You have spent but ten [days on earth] 103 We know well what they will say to one another: We also know that even the most cautious in his estimate will say: "You lived in the world no more than a day." 104
