And We have not created the heaven and the earth and all that is between them without purpose; this is what the disbelievers assume; therefore ruin is for the disbelievers, by the fire. 27 shall We treat those who believe and do good works the same as those who spread corruption in the land; shall We treat the pious the same as the wicked? 28 (This is) a Book (the Quran) which We have sent down to you, full of blessings that they may ponder over its Verses, and that men of understanding may remember. 29 And We bestowed on David, Solomon. How excellent a slave! Lo! he was ever turning in repentance (toward Allah). 30 When well-bred horses, which were fleet of foot were paraded before him near the close of day, 31 Then he said: Surely I preferred the good things to the remembrance of my Lord-- until the sun set and time for Asr prayer was over, (he said): 32 Return them to me!' And he began to stroke their shanks and necks. 33 And verily We tried Solomon, and set upon his throne a (mere) body. Then did he repent. 34 He said, "My Lord, forgive me and grant me a kingdom such as will not belong to anyone after me. Indeed, You are the Bestower." 35 So We subjected to him the wind blowing by his command, gently, wherever he directed, 36 and We also subjected the devils to him -- all kinds of builders and divers; 37 The rest of the devils were bound in chains. 38 [We said], "This is Our gift, so grant or withhold without account." 39 He has a high position with Us and an excellent abode. 40
