Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 Then by oath of those which carry the burdens. 2 And those that glide with ease (upon the sea) 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 surely what you are being warned against is true, 5 And verily the Requital is surely to befall. 6 By heaven with all its tracks 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Doomed are the conjecturers 10 who are dazed in perplexity 11 They ask: when is the Day of Requital coming? 12 [It will be] a Day when they will be sorely tried by the fire, 13 (and be told): “Taste your ordeal! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 And in the dawns they prayed for forgiveness. 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak. 23
