And he whose sight is dim to the remembrance of the Beneficent, We assign unto him a devil who becometh his comrade; 36 And most surely they turn them away from the path, and they think that they are guided aright: 37 Until when he comes before Us he will say (to the devil): "Would to God there was a distance of the East and West between you and me, for you were an evil companion!" 38 (It will be said to them) “And you will not benefit from them this day, whereas you are unjust – for you are all partners in the punishment.” 39 Wherefore canst thou make the deaf to hear, or canst thou guide the blind or him who is is error manifest? 40 But if We should take you away, still We shall inflict retribution on them; 41 Or (if) We show thee that wherewith We threaten them; for lo! We have complete command of them. 42 So, hold fast to the Book that has been revealed to you, you are surely on the right path, 43 Verily it is a great source of eminence for you and your people, and soon you will be called to account concerning that. 44 And ask thou Our apostles whom We sent before thee: appointed We gods, beside the Compassionate, to be worshipped? 45

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
