Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) 35 a warning to humans, 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out! 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
